A lead generation landing page is a great way to boost your business by generating leads from your PPC ads. I have created hundreds of landing pages for various businesses but they all have these things in common. Here are some tips and tricks on how to create a killer lead generation landing page that will generate tons of leads for your business:
Headlines are Crucial
Many great advertisers say they spend 80% of their time crafting the perfect headline.
Because your headline is what makes someone stop and want to learn more about your offer. A great headline is key to a successful landing page.
Some tips for writing headlines:
- Keep it short and sweet
- Use strong keywords
- Make a bold promise
- Tap into the reader’s feelings
You should really tap into the customer’s feelings with this headline whether it’s tapping into their fear, greed, or guilt. You need the customer to think that you are talking directly to them even if it is subliminal.
Have A No Brainer Offer
Make sure your offer is so good that people feel stupid saying no to it.
Your offer should:
- Be something people want or need
- Solve a problem people have
- Be unique
Make sure your offer is unique and irresistible. Something that will make people want to jump at the chance to get it. Whether you are just trying to get the reader’s email or have them spend thousands of dollars. You need to offer them something in return that is of extreme value to them.
Use Benefits Not Features
When people are looking to buy something they don’t care about the features of what they are buying, all they care about is how it will benefit them.
For example, if you were selling a car you wouldn’t just list off the features like 4-wheel drive, heated seats, and a sunroof. Instead, you say that this car will get you through any terrain and weather conditions, it will keep you warm on the coldest of days, and it will let you enjoy the outdoors during the gorgeous summer days.
See the difference?
When you are writing your landing page make sure to focus on the benefits that your product or service will bring to the customer instead of just listing the features.
Use Testimonials and Case Studies
Gaining the reader’s trust is crucial and there is no better way to do that than by adding testimonials or case studies to your landing page.
When people see that others have had success with your product or service they are more likely to take the leap and try it out themselves.
Make sure to add testimonials or case studies from people who are relatable to your target audience so they can really see themselves using your product or service.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a video is worth a million.
Adding a video to your landing page can really help increase conversions. People are more likely to watch a video than read a long paragraph of text.
When adding a video to your landing page make sure it is:
- Short- People have short attention spans and are more likely to watch a shorter video
- To the point- Get your message across quickly and clearly
- Creative- Use creative visuals and storytelling to keep people engaged
Call To Action
Your call to action (CTA) is what you want the reader to do after they have read your landing page.
Some examples of CTAs are:
- Sign up for our newsletter
- Download our free e-book
- Get a free consultation
- Buy now
The CTA should be clear and concise. You want the reader to know exactly what you want them to do.
Make sure your CTA stands out on the page and is impossible to miss. You can do this by using strong colors, big fonts, or adding an arrow pointing to the CTA.
