Let me show you how to get started generating leads with google ads for bookkeepers.
#1 Create a no-brianer offer
The first step to using Google Ads effectively is to create an offer that your potential customers can’t refuse. Something that will make them want to pick up the phone and call you right away.
For bookkeepers, a great offer could be a free initial consultation or a discount on their first services. Whatever it is, make sure it is straightforward, adds tons of value to your client, and that your offer is so easy to understand that your customer already knows what they are going to get before they even pick up the phone.
#2 Find winning keywords
The second step is to find the keywords that potential customers are using to search for bookkeeping services online. These keywords will form the foundation of your Google Ads campaign and will be what determines whether people see your ad or not.
There are a few ways to find winning keywords. The first is to use the Google Keyword Planner. Make sure whatever keywords you choose are “bottom of the funnel” and have a buyer’s intent.
A keyword like “tax accountants near me” is so much better than “tax accountants”.
Because the second keyword could be someone who is just looking for information and not ready to buy. The first keyword, on the other hand, is someone who is already looking for a bookkeeper in their area and is much more likely to convert into a paying customer.
#3 Create a killer landing page
Now that you have your offer and your keywords, it’s time to create a landing page that will convert your visitors into leads.
A landing page is a single web page that is designed to get someone to take a specific action, like fill out a form or pick up the phone and call you.
It’s much more effective than just a website.
And when it comes to bookkeeping, your landing page should be designed to get people to sign up for your free offer.
Your landing page should have:
- A headline that tells people what they’re going to get
- A form where they can input their information
- A call to action that sends their information over to you
Your landing page should be solely about the offer that you created in step 1.
#4 Integrate your leads in a CRM
A CRM, or customer relationship management system, is a tool that allows you to keep track of your leads and customers in one place.
It’s essential for businesses that rely on generating new leads because it makes it easy to follow up and turn those leads into paying customers.
Most bookkeepers are using some sort of CRM platform but many do not use it to their full potential.
I have clients that have closed 66% more leads just by using a CRM platform effectively.
If you’re not using a CRM system, I recommend that you start. It will make your life 10 times easier and help you close more leads.
If you are using a CRM system, make sure that you are integrating your Google Ads leads into it so that you can follow up and turn them into paying customers
